Graduation time!

Well my second daughter has now officially become a high school graduate!

So proud of my Hayley :) She's worked hard all these years and it's paid off.

All my kiddos and grandbaby :)  There's always one in the crowd acting like a goof!!!

With a few really good scholarships under her belt, now we will be headed for college in the fall....**sniff** **sniff**

Hayley giving me a daughterly lick tot he cheek.....bleh!!!!

Hayley, we are so proud of you and love you very much!  I did good and didn't shed a single tear (in front of you) but I can't promise when I drop you off at college I won't be sitting in the lobby of your dorm crying like a hungry baby and totally inconsolable :)

Love you!
Mom

I'm going to be joining my other high school graduate mom, Daphne, over at Flip Flops and Pearls for Semi Wordless Wednesday.

The best Cherry Limeade EVER!

Yes when I think of "happy hour" it doesn't involve margaritas with the gals after a long day.  It involves getting to Sonic between 2 & 4 for half price drinks and buying the ever so delicious Route 44 cherry limeade.
It's scrumptious :)

Soooooo being on a budget and being a mom who feels guilty if I go to Sonic without the kids but can't go with them because they want to order EVERYTHING, I was ecstatic when I found this recipe on Pinterest & believe me it really does taste like the Sonic cherry limeade.

Cherry Limeade
1 - 2 liter bottle Sprite
1 - can limeade concentrate
1 - 10oz jar cherries
ice!

Mix the limeade concentrate with the jar of cherry juice (you can add the cherries later if you want).  Pour in the 2 liter bottle of Sprite and "ta-da" instant delight!  The best part is it makes a whole pitcher of this stuff and even though it didn't last one day at my house it it for sure enough to go around a couple :)

I've had a few projects going on around here most of which are sewing and monogramming. I've been making a few of these sleep sacks for the shop & they are as cute as can be :) Well I called them sleep sacks way back when.  I'm not sure what these new moms are calling them.

These little {big} hair bows are so cute that you can't help but smile when you see these big ole bows on top of a teeny tiny baby head.

I've also made up this little birthday crown.  How funny will this be on top of a little cake covered face :)

My UPS man has been busy too cleaning up our yard and doing a lot of tree cutting.  It just makes me a nervous wreck sometimes!!!!! He's only about 50' up in a tree that he's cutting down piece by piece AND it's between 2 houses & an electric box!!! Ugh! I should get hazard pay for just watching! lol

Well, my little man has a music program tonight, he's a spider.  I'll try to get a picture of his spider shirt I made him up sometime this week. So I better get on off of here and get everyone ready.

I hope y'all are having a great week and beautiful weather like we are!

Many blessings,
Laura

He is risen!

Happy Easter weekend!

Hey y'all,
It's been a busy week over here but no complaints cause it's been blessings all around ;)

Of course been doing lots of sewing and monogramming and hoping to do some Easter fun stuff with the kidos but haven't yet.  There's still time!

My friend's daughter just had the first grandbaby and she's quite adorable.  Her aunt is in the Air Force and they're calling her Aunt Nene, so I whipped up a little something special for little Annsley to remember her Aunt Nene (Christine).

My mom car pools to church during the week nights with a few other widower ladies and they all had a fit over moms hidden pocket key chain I made a year or so ago, so Easter Sunday they're getting a little treat from mom.  Hope they enjoy!

My painting skills are definitely lacking and in need of some serious dusting off!!!!  Made this hair bow holder for a parent at my old daycare.  I've not gotten to see her new little one until today and she literally jumped in my arms!  She was absolutely precious and could possibly be a new Monogram Boutique model in the future :)

Of course i've been clickin' through Pinterest and this Peeps flower arrangement is just adorable but wouldn't last 5 minutes in my house.  Honestly it more than likely wouldn't get finished because I would have to stop and eat one Peep for every Peep I "wasted" on the arrangement. lol
I love this but I wouldnt be able to control myself around all those peeps :(

How cute is this!  My birthday was on Easter one and only one year and my mom made me and my sister (whos birthday is 2 days after mine) a cake shaped like a bunny rabbit.  I'll never forget it :)
EASTER CAKE

These are so cute and just sums it up, for He IS risen!
Easter

Hope you all have a wonder Easter and enjoy your moments with your family and friends!

Many blessings,
Laura

I'm back!

Hey y'all!
I feel like i've been gone FOREVER!

Well, I was on a little hiatus and a much needed one at that.  With all the holidays, volunteering at the kids schools, running (or trying to run) mine and my husbands business, along with every day life I just had to take a break and regroup.

I've missed everyone and appreciate all the check in's and well wishes i've received over the past months.

I won't be an every day blogger but if i've got something to show you, i'll pull out all the stops! How's that?

I have been keeping up with you all and reading blogs here and there and some of y'all just don't miss a beat & are absolutely amazing :)

One good thing is business is good so I thought I'd show you a few items i've been working on around here

These peasant dresses are absolutely adorable and look so comfortable and have become very popular this  Spring

I've worked up a matching onesie and pant set for a brother sister duo to use in their Easter pictures :) Why didn't I think of these things when my little ones were still little (physically) and not just little in my mind?

Been making lots and lots of bloomers

And I took a day and organized all my patterns and found I had lots and lots of hand me down patterns from my Granny!  She's 96 years old and is and amazing seamstress and talented quilter.  I'm pulling some out to work on updating them for today's girls!  Maybe do a little color blocking that's so popular this Spring.  We'll see ;)

shark for Bubba
I have to say Potty Barn is like an addiction.  Now my 11 year old daughter can't wait till the kids catalog comes in!  They have these adorable stuffed sharks and man oh man is my son into sharks and all that applies.  Looks like I'm gonna have to work him up a shark here in the near future.

Ribbon garland for Katrina
My daughter thought this ribbon garland was adorable so I think we're going to be doing a mother/daughter project here soon too.  I'll let you know how that turns out if she lets me survive!  Pre-teen years....need I say more?

Well I hope everyone out there is having a beautiful Spring and enjoying each moment.  I'll be around here and there so check in with me every once in a while!

Many blessings,
Laura
